Believe Project: $100 to introduce kids to the joy of learning through reading

Today's winner of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Sally Wiarda of Wheaton.

Here is an excerpt of her pitch:

“I work with elementary school kids who have no books at home and are very poor. I would use the $100 to buy kids their own book and watch the world open up for them. When you become a reader and learn to love learning, your future becomes much brighter and your world expands tremendously. Thank you for this wonderful gift.”

• The Believe Project mails a $100 bill each day to someone with a good idea for how to use it to do a good deed for someone else.
