Blackhawks send Rasmussen back to Rockford

The Chicago Blackhawks reassigned forward Dennis Rasmussen to the Rockford IceHogs on Wednesday.

Rasmussen, 24, who has 16 points (8G, 8A) in 44 games with the American Hockey League club this season, was called up by the Blackhawks on Jan. 25 after the club put Kris Versteeg in the long-term injured list.

Rasmussen's eight goals are tied for third among the IceHogs on the AHL campaign. Rasmussen also scored one goal in three preseason games with Chicago.

The Blackhawks return to action on Friday against the Winnipeg Jets at the MTS Centre at 7 p.m. (CSN, 720-AM).
