Brad Keselowski expecting 1st child this NASCAR season

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Brad Keselowski will become a father this NASCAR season.

Keselowski announced Wednesday on his blog that he and girlfriend Paige White are expecting a daughter. He did not announce a due date, and requested privacy for his unborn child.

The 2012 NASCAR champion wrote he accepts life as a public figure, but his daughter "hasn't signed up for any of that." He asked for attention to remain focused on him.

Keselowski also addressed having a child before marriage. He wrote this is the happiest he's ever been and credited White. He said his family and White's family both come from humble backgrounds, and it's created a support system for the Team Penske driver.

"I know that we're not doing this in the traditional order of things," he wrote.
