Breuder severance affront to teachers

The College of DuPage board of trustees, with one exception, has voted to give Mr. Breuder a three-quarter of one million dollars as severance pay.

This is a ridiculous waste of taxpayer money and an absolute affront to the teachers and students of the school. The man is voluntarily retiring so why does he deserve a severance reward? If his contract calls for that, why did the board enter into it?

The board is supposed to be the guardian of the taxpayers money. If this is the way the board is going to perform, it is time to vote all of them out of office, with one exception.
