Candidate drops out:

One of the candidates running for seats on the Wauconda village board on Monday announced she's withdrawing. Carries Serres told the Daily Herald she's dropping out of the race. Serres was one of six candidates seeking three seats on the board that have 4-year terms. Two additional candidates are running for one seat with a 2-year term. Incumbents Linda Starkey, Chuck Black and Ken Arnswald and volunteer Tim Howe are running together as the United For Progress team. Trustee Joseph Coster, Jason Anderson and Wauconda Park District Trustee Bob Cook also are running. They had been on the For Wauconda slate with Serres.
