Bears' Bennett added to Pro Bowl roster

With the New England advancing to the Super Bowl, Bears tight end Martellus Bennett was named to the Pro Bowl on Monday as a replacement for Rob Gronkowski of the Patriots.

Bennett, who led all tight ends with 90 receptions this season, is the first Bears tight end to be named to the Pro Bowl since Mike Ditka in 1965.

Bennett's 90 receptions set a single-season franchise record for tight ends, breaking Ditka's mark of 75. Bennett's 916 receiving yards this past season ranked No. 2 in Bears history, behind Ditka's 1,076 in 1961.
