Jets interviewing former Bills coach Marrone

NEW YORK (AP) - The New York Jets are interviewing former Buffalo Bills coach Doug Marrone as they seek a replacement for the fired Rex Ryan.

Owner Woody Johnson and consultants Ron Wolf and Charley Casserly are meeting with Marrone on Saturday.

Marrone became one of the Jets' top candidates on Wednesday night when he opted out of his contract with the Bills. NFL Network first reported the Jets' plans to meet with Marrone on Saturday.

The trio returned from Seattle on Friday night after talking to Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn and assistant head coach-offensive line coach Tom Cable about the head coaching vacancy. Seahawks director of pro personnel Trent Kirchner also interviewed for New York's general manager position, which opened when Johnson fired John Idzik along with Ryan last Monday.
