Party at the museum:

The Lake County Discovery Museum will host New Year's parties for celebrants of all ages on Dec. 29 and 30. Both events are scheduled to run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Crafts and noon ball-drops are planned. Attendance is free with regular museum admission, and registration isn't required. The museum is in the Lakewood Forest Preserve near Wauconda. Visit lcfpd.org for more details.
