Fullerton cruises past Dominguez Hills 72-50

FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) - Alex Harris had 16 points, Steve McClellan had 15 and 10 rebounds and Cal State Fullerton defeated Division II Cal State Dominguez Hills 72-50 on Thursday.

Moses Morgan and Lanerryl Johnson added 11 apiece for the Titans (5-7).

Ivan Dooley had 16 points for the Toros (3-7).

Fullerton had a 40-24 advantage on the boards, shot 48 percent (25-52) and went 17-25 from the foul line while the Toros were 8-8.

Dominguez Hills was within 17-15 with 5:46 left in the first half when the Titans reeled off 13 straight points, with four different players contributing, for a 30-17 lead at the half. When Harris and McClellan opened the second half with inside baskets, Fullerton had the visitors doubled.

The Toros got within eight midway through the second half but McClellan had a three-point play and Johnson and Harris hit 3's to make it 50-33 to end the threat.
