Many Northwest suburbs ring in the holidays
It was a big day Friday in the Northwest suburbs for ringing in the holiday season, as four towns held Christmas tree lighting parties.
Events took place in Bartlett, Des Plaines, Hanover Park and Streamwood.
Only one tree lighting remains, that in Barrington, which will be held as part of a big weekend festival. The event is at 5 p.m. on Cook Street downtown.
