Schaumburg man pleads guilty to selling cocaine
A Schaumburg man has pleaded guilty to selling drugs four times over three weeks last spring to an undercover Cook County Sheriff's police officer.
Clarence Bush, 32, who sold cocaine to the undercover officer from May 20 to June 12, pleaded guilty earlier this week to four counts of manufacture and delivery of cocaine. In exchange for his guilty plea, Bush was sentenced to four years in prison with a recommendation for the Illinois Department of Corrections boot camp program, court records show.
On three occasions, Bush sold between 6.3 and 7.4 grams of cocaine to the officer in exchange for $300 each time. On June 12, 2014, he sold 28.5 grams for $1,100 dollars, prosecutors said.
If Bush is not accepted into the boot camp program or fails to complete it, he will have to complete at least 50 percent of his sentence before he is eligible for parole.
