Boil order in effect for small part of Mount Prospect

A boil order is in effect for a small portion of Mount Prospect, officials said Tuesday.
The boil order is for 1301 through 1112 Cedar Lane and will be in effect for 36 hours or until lifted, according to a Mount Prospect Fire Department Twitter post dated two hours ago.
Lt. John Dolan said the boil order has been issued due to routine maintenance that is being conducted by Illinois American Water. Residents in the affected area are encouraged to boil their water before use during this time period.
