A fresh start for McHenry County

As the first independent candidate for sheriff in McHenry County's history, Jim Harrison's campaign has been an uphill battle all the way. He needed to collect 13 times as many petition signatures as his opponent in the same amount of time. His opponent was spoon-fed the state's attorney's supporters, donors, and resources. His opponent had all of the resources of the Republican Party at his disposal.

Harrison hung in there. He used his campaign finances wisely, published tons of information on his website to inform voters, attended hundreds of events in order to meet McHenry County residents, and he ran the entire operation with the help of the people instead of a selling out to a political party.

I like a guy who relies on hard work instead of party politics.

Harrison is a fresh start for McHenry County and I fully support his candidacy for sheriff.
