Vacancy persists on Wauconda board
Wauconda village board members interviewed a candidate to fill a vacancy on the panel Tuesday but made no decision about nomination, officials said.
It's up to Mayor Frank Bart to nominate a candidate for the post, which opened when Teri Burke resigned last month. Trustees then vote to approve or reject the nomination.
Village Administrator Doug Maxeiner said he expects Bart to announce his nominee Nov. 4. It's not yet known if the board will vote that night or later, Maxeiner said.
