Everyone safe in Lake in the Hills fire

Firefighters were able to tame a fire Wednesday afternoon at a Lake in the Hills home.
The home was left habitable with the majority of the fire damage to the garage, officials said. The fire is under investigation.
The Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District was dispatched at about 2:35 p.m. for a structure fire on the 1100 block of Heavens Gate in Lake in the Hills, according to a news release.
Once crews arrived, they discovered a two-story single family home with "smoke showing."
Although the home was occupied at the time of the fire, everyone escaped and no occupant was injured, authorities said.
