Ex-Crystal Lake man faces child sex assault charges

A Wisconsin man was charged Friday with sexually abusing two children younger than 13 during the time he lived in Crystal Lake, authorities said.

Jeffrey A. Vesely, 52, who now lives in Darien, Wisconsin, but lived in Crystal Lake from 2003-2012, was charged with three counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and five counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse after a two-month investigation, Crystal Lake police said.

Vesely was arrested at the McHenry County jail, where he was being held on other charges. Bail was set at $250,000.
