3 juveniles arrested in Crystal Lake arson

Three juveniles were arrested earlier this month on charges they started a fire back in March that destroyed a Crystal Lake home, officials said.

The home was destroyed on March 22, but the resident was not home at the time. No one was injured, but the estimated loss is $180,000, according to a Crystal Lake Police Department news release. The home was later razed.

The three juveniles, ages 13-15, intentionally started the fire in the garage, and then it spread, according to police.

The juveniles are facing arson and criminal damage to property charges, all of which are felonies.
