Mt. Prospect accepting 'Shining Star' nominations

The Mount Prospect Special Events Commission has begun accepting nominations of individuals and organizations that should be recognized as "Shining Stars" at the 22nd Annual Celestial Celebration, Friday, Feb. 6, at The Cotillion Banquets in Palatine.

The person nominating a Shining Star does not need to be a resident of Mount Prospect nor does the Shining Star need to be a resident.

Nominations can be made at mountprospect.org by clicking on the Shining Star logo on the lower left hand corner. The link includes nomination categories and a list of those nominated in the past, as someone cannot be honored more than once. A form that can be filled out by hand is also there.

All nominations must be received by midnight, Nov. 15. Mailed forms should be sent to Shining Star Awards, Mount Prospect Special Events Commission, P. O. Box 69, Mount Prospect, 60056. The winners will be selected in early December.
