Try out for girls Kane County volleyball team

The Kane County Juniors Volleyball Club has scheduled tryouts for the 2015 girls teams. There is a $25 nonrefundable, one time fee. Be sure to attend the first available tryout in your age group at M.A. Center, 41W501 Keslinger Road in Elburn.

For elementary and middle school players, tryouts will be on Sunday, Oct. 5, from 8 to 10 a.m. for 14-U; 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for 13-U; and 1 to 2:30 p.m. for 12-U. Tryouts continue on Friday, Oct. 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. for 13-U, and 6 to 8 p.m. for 12-U, and on Sunday, Oct. 12, from 8 to 10 a.m. for 14-U.

Tryouts for high school players will be held on Sunday, Oct. 26, from 8 to 10 a.m. for 15-U, and 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for 16-U. Tryouts continue on Wednesday, Oct. 29, from 6 to 7:45 p.m. for 16-U to 18-U, and 8 to 9:30 p.m. for 15-U.

Tryouts for all high school ages will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 2; 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7; and 10 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 9.

All participants must show proof of USA Volleyball membership. For any 2014 USA Volleyball members, your membership is good until Oct. 31, 2014. New players will not be allowed to tryout without USA Volleyball tryout membership card. To obtain this go to www.greatlakesvolleyball.org.

There will be a tryout membership fee to register and get your tryout card. You also will need a parent/player information form which you can get online at www.kanecountyjrs.com and click on "Forms." This is a word document that you can enter your information from your keyboard and then print out and bring to the tryout.

The tryout site is M.A. Center, 41W501 Keslinger Road, Elburn, approximately five miles west of Randall Road on the south side of Keslinger Road. Follow the 20 mph speed limit on the campus road all the way to the back building.
