Local, global wines showcased at Wheaton festival

More than 70 local and global wines flowed freely in Memorial Park Saturday afternoon during the second annual Wheaton Wine and Cultural Arts Festival.

Ticket holders were given a chance to sample 12 wines while exploring art from community artisans and enjoying food from nearby restaurants. There also were craft beers to try.

Scheduled musical entertainment in the park's band shell included James Libera, Trio Life, Martini Lunch Quartet and the Michael Lynch Duo.

The event was hosted by the Downtown Wheaton Association and the Wheaton Park District.
