St. Viator edges Wheeling in 3
Senior Grace Fedus put down a match-high 11 kills while junior Alyssa Forbes added 7 as the host St. Viator girls volleyball team rallied for a 25-27, 25-13, 25-10 victory over Wheeling at the Cahill Gymnasium on Monday night in Arlington Heights.
Senior setter Kaitlin O'Brien handed out 19 assists and junior Ellie Meyer had 4 for the Lions who improved to 6-2 in the nonconference match.
Meyer led the Lions with 31 digs while junior teammate Gabi Thomas had a pair of aces.
Wheeling (6-8) was paced on attack by junior Michaela Vasey (7 kill), senior Deanna Kuzmanic (7), senior Lani Greenberg (4) and sophomore Timber Terrell (4).
They were the beneficiaries of the setting from senior setter Sabrina Semeria, who distributed 17 assists.
