Spirit Fest to help special needs kids:

The Lexi Kazian Foundation's annual Spirit Fest will be from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at the Stevenson High School football stadium, 1 Stevenson Drive, Lincolnshire. The event features bands and a DJ, inflatables, raffles, face painting, food, fireworks, photo booth, Frisbee golf, a 5K spirit walk and crafts, as well as the Guinness Book of World Records attempt for the longest chain of high-fives. Minimum donations are $10 individual; $20 family of three; $25 family of four; $30 family of five or more. All proceeds benefit the Lexi Kazian foundation, founded in 2004 to help assist with the comfort and quality of life for children with special needs.
