Island Lake commission meets:

Island Lake's new planning and zoning commission will meet Thursday. The members will be sworn in and then hear from village attorney David McArdle about their duties. No other business is on the agenda. The meeting is set for 7:30 p.m. at village hall, 3720 Greenleaf Ave.
