Senior Star at Weber Place Star Hosts National Alzheimer's Dementia Expert August 7
ROMEOVILLE, IL (July 28, 2014) - Senior Star at Weber Place is proud to host Susan Scanland, an experienced nurse practitioner and speaker, who will discuss the important topic of Alzheimer's disease. Her presentation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., August 7 at 605 South Edward Drive, Romeoville, IL.
Scanland, the CEO and Founder of Dementia Connections, is a national Alzheimer's and dementia expert. She brings to the open forum 31 years of experience as a nurse practitioner working with direct care professionals who meet the needs of residents with dementia. Scanland will provide an in-depth understanding of the Alzheimer's client's perspective on overall communication needs and non-verbal communication signals as well as caregiver stress.
