Ramadan, a perfect time for Libertyville to Get Covered
July 27th marks the conclusion of Ramadan and the Compassionate Care Network (CCN) supported Libertyville residents to become better informed and sign up to receive additional information and personalized assistance on health coverage through the Get Covered America program throughout Ramadan.
CCN spearheaded the Get Covered America message throughout Ramadan with their "30 Mosques in 30 Days" program; reaching over 10,000 residents in the Chicago-area.
According to Dr. Azher Quader, Executive Director of CCN, "Libertyville residents shouldn't feel the need to risk their health and financial security because of their lack of insurance coverage; not when there is a great alternative available."
"Organizations like CCN that have strong grassroots ties to the Libertyville community are extremely valuable partners," commented Punya Krishnappa, Illinois Organizing Director of Get Covered America. "Partnerships between Get Covered America and organizations like CCN allow us to reach out to Illinoisans where they live, work, shop, and pray so we can educate them about their affordable health care options."
Compassionate Care Network (CCN) consists of over 200 volunteer physicians and other healthcare providers that treat Libertyville patients who cannot otherwise afford coverage and who do not have health insurance, mostly from underserved communities.
