Rodeo, demo derby still ahead at DuPage fair
The DuPage County Fair is swinging into the home stretch Saturday and Sunday with two of its biggest draws: the Latting IPRA Rodeo and the demolition derby.
The rodeo takes over the grandstand at 1 and 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the fairgrounds, 2015 Manchester Road, Wheaton.
A different sort of cowboy assumes command on Sunday, when demolition derby drivers roar into the grandstand area - and each other - at 1 and 7:30 p.m.
The fair is open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. each day, and will celebrate health services on Saturday (appropriate for those trying not to fall off bucking animals at the rodeo) and transportation on Sunday (equally appropriate for the demo drivers). Tickets are $10 for adults and $4 for kids ages 3 through 12.
