Artists with special needs find spot in Buffalo Grove show
One of the premiere fine arts festival in the suburbs, and the nation, is back in Buffalo Grove this weekend.
The Buffalo Grove Art Festival, now in its 12th year, draws thousands each year to the Buffalo Grove Town Center at Lake-Cook and McHenry roads (Route 83).
More than 160 juried artists from around the world will show their work, sell their work and demonstrate how they make their art.
Festivalgoers will enjoy live music on the main stage sponsored by WLIT, great food and art activities for kids, including an art scavenger hunt and spin art.
"Unique Expressions: A Showcase of Local Artists with Special Needs," will be featured at the festival for the fourth year.
On Sunday, the Youth Art Division show is dedicated to artists 18 and younger.
Daily drawings are held for Art Buck$, courtesy of Amdur Productions, to spend on a piece of art at any of Amdur Productions' 2014 festivals.
