Press, Red Stars rally for tie

PORTLAND, Ore. - Forward Christen Press scored her first 2 goals of the season - in the 76th and 82nd minutes - to rally the Chicago Red Stars to a 2-2 tie against Portland on Friday.

The Thorns led 2-0 at intermission on a pair of goals off corner kicks against Red Stars keeper Karina LeBlanc.

"It was disappointing to give away 2 goals on corner kicks when we felt at halftime we easily could have been ahead in the game," said Red Stars coach Rory Dames. "It was a great response in the final 20 minutes."
