Schaumburg man gets probation for molesting girl

A Schaumburg man charged with molesting a 10-year-old girl several years ago has pleaded guilty to aggravated criminal sexual abuse, court records show.
In exchange for Jorge Martinez Jr.'s guilty plea Monday to the class 2 felony, a Cook County judge sentenced him to two years probation and ordered him to pay $2,829 in fines, records show.
Martinez, now 23, was 17 years old when he abused the child, prosecutors said during his bond hearing two years ago. They say Martinez, who has no criminal background, abused the girl twice between April 2008 and June 2009.
