Going green is cheap in Mount Prospect
The village of Mount Prospect recently completed a new electric aggregation plan with Homefield Energy. The new rates are as follows:
Base: 7.935 cents per kwh
Green: 8.072 cents per kwh
The difference between base and green rates for an average monthly usage of 500 kilowatts is 68 cents per month. Although residents will see overall increases in their electricity bills, going green is cheap.
