Illinois man gets class ring back 31 years later

EDWARDSVILLE - Just in time for his 30-year high school reunion next month, an Illinois man has something to share with his classmates about his decades-long search for his class ring.

St. Louis' KSDK-TV reports 31 years after Edwardsville's Jim Seubert lost the ring during a family vacation at Florida's Daytona Beach, the owner of a St. Louis cleaning and restoration company says he's got it back.

Seubert got a call from a New Jersey woman who told him her mother found the ring years ago near the mother's Florida hometown of Vero Beach and had it in her jewelry box since then. It's unclear how the ring made it from Daytona Beach to Vero Beach some 130 miles away.

Seubert is a 1984 graduate of Indiana's Bloomington North High School.
