Northbrook Park District to Host U.S. Kids Golf Camps

Sportsman's Country Club will host two U.S. Kids Golf Camps this summer - the only location in Illinois to do so. The four-day camps run from June 23-26 and July 28-31. Children attend from

9am to noon each day in a play-and-learn program that mixes friendly instruction with on-course play.

The camps welcome beginning golfers, ages 6-12. Players will be assigned by age into groups of six or less to ensure a quality experience. Each camp is led by Sportsman's PGA Director of Instruction, Michael Wenzel, an Illinois Junior Golf Leader and Top 50 Kids Teacher.

"This game-based golf camp is a wonderful opportunity for children just learning to play or wanting to refine their skills in a fun and positive, rewarding environment," Wenzel said. "If your child loves sports and has not given golf a chance, this is one week you don't want to miss."

Players will engage in fun games and kid-friendly competitions and play on the course as they learn basic forms and skills, rules, etiquette and sportsmanship. Young players can learn all aspects of golf in an exciting atmosphere. Enrollment is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The camp fee is $250, with a $25 discount for families who register siblings. Visit www.uskidsgolf.com/camps to register or learn more about the program.
