Don your Western wear for food bank benefit May 20

On Tuesday, May 20, break out your cowboy boots and hat for Western Night, the latest in a series of volunteer theme nights, at 6 p.m. at Northern Illinois Food Bank, 273 Dearborn Court, Geneva.

Volunteers are an essential part of the daily operation at Northern Illinois Food Bank, working morning, afternoon and evening shifts to help feed 60,000 hungry neighbors every week across 13 counties.

The food bank's series of monthly volunteer theme nights offers yet another way for members of the community to get involved.

Registration is required for all volunteer shifts, including volunteer theme nights.

To register, visit SolveHungerToday.org/Volunteer.

Individuals, organizations, companies and families with children age 8 and older are welcome to volunteer at any of the three centers.

Typical volunteer shifts involve packing, sorting and inspecting donated food for distribution.
