Prospect, St. Viator pick up wins

Prospect wrapped up a second-place finish in the Mid-Suburban East boys volleyball standings by topping Rolling Meadows 25-8, 25-11 on Wednesday.

Eryk Krzyzak and Grant Andler both finished with 10 kills on perfect hitting efforts. Krzyzak was 15-for-15 and Andler was 14-for-14 on attacks.

Matt McPartlin had 4 kills for the Knights (20-12, 8-2), and Jacob Schwister provided 29 setting assists.

St. Viator d. Benet: The Lions won for a second straight night on the road in East Suburban Catholic Conference play, topping the Redwings 26-24, 26-24 in Lisle.

Ethan Wolf (13 kills) and Ryan Schiller (9) led the attack for St. Viator (23-10, 4-3), and both had 2 blocks while Mark Tun led the way with 9 digs.

"We came out and played a very good match against a really talented team," said St. Viator coach Chris Boylan. "We played a smart match and that helped us push through to the end."
