'Diaper derbies' serve only the parents
I am just an old grandma, but I personally fail to see the sense in subjecting tiny crawling infants to those "diaper derbies." The little 10½-month-old girl in last week's paper is obviously terrified realizing that her mommy is so far away and that she is surrounded by a group of strangers. If there is a point to this activity, other than gaining "bragging rights" for the parents of the winner, it totally escapes me.
