District 54 Foundation hosts 13th annual Mardi Gras event

The Schaumburg Township Elementary School Foundation hosted its signature Mardi Gras benefit on Friday, Feb 28, at The Stonegate Conference Centre.

The 265 guests enjoyed butler passed hors d'oeuvres, casino games, silent auction, four-course dinner and prizes.

"The success of our event is due to the many dedicated sponsors, donors, volunteers and guests of which we are truly grateful," said Sophia Grassa, executive director.

Proceeds of $26,000 will be used to fund programs not covered by district revenue sources.
