Social service scholarships

Wayne/Winfield Area Youth/Family Services is accepting scholarship applications through April 18 from 2014 high school graduates planning to major in the social sciences (i.e., social work, counseling, psychology, youth recreation, youth prevention, or sociology).

Two, $500 education awards will be given by Association of Illinois Township Committees on Youth. Requirements include: a listing of volunteer experience in youth programs or social service; verification of a minimum "B" average (transcript from school); 100-word maximum paragraph describing educational goals; and two letters of recommendation.
