South Elgin goes 3-1 at Argo

Nate Marotta had 30 kills, 16 digs and 7 service aces Saturday to lead the South Elgin boys volleyball team to a 3-1 record and the Silver Division championship at the Argo tournament.

The Storm (4-1) lost to Lincoln-Way West 25-15, 25-12 before coming back to beat Plainfield Central (25-18, 15-25, 15-8), Stagg (25-18, 25-21) and Shepard (25-22, 25-21).

Dan Gibadlo (17 kills), Owen Bott (15 kills, 14 digs), Ian Sexton (15 kills), Chris Gibadlo (69 assists, 14 digs), Mike Vedrine (13 digs) and Nathan Wells (11 digs) also contributed to the Storm's successful day.
