Same-sex kiss photo was not necessary

Recently, your newspaper played a front page picture of a same-sex couple exchanging an explicit sensuous kiss.

I found this disturbing because it is not normal. I thought of this newspaper sitting on a family's breakfast table with young children's eyes falling upon it. The article accompanying it would have been sufficient - the picture not necessary.

I am growing weary of this being shoved in our faces.
