Galat, Lakes roll to victory

Richard Galat slammed 8 kills, and Dalton Solbrig added seven, as Lakes' boys volleyball team defeated Lake Forest Academy 25-14, 25-16.

Galat also had 10 digs, while Solbrig served 3 aces and recorded 6 digs. The Eagles' Colton Jewell dished out 19 assists and posted 3 blocks. Nick Battaglia contributed 4 kills and 3 blocks.

Glenbrook South d. Vernon Hills: The Cougars fell to 1-1 on the season, dropping a 25-19, 25-23 decision in nonconference action.

Waukegan d. Antioch: The Sequoits dropped their season opener 25-19, 27-25.

Nathan Borries lofted 24 assists for Antioch, while Troy Mayer had 4 kills and 2 blocks.
