Lakes d. Carmel: Richard Galat rolled up 9 kills and 6 digs to lead Lakes to a 25-22, 25-20 sweep of Carmel. Setter Colton Jewell finished with 25 assists, 4 digs and 3 blocks for the Eagles while Dalton Solbrig and Dakota Mathez each had 3 kills. Avery Brodde led Lakes in blocks with seven. For Carmel (0-1), Matt Kelly and Kyle Zeman each had 4 kills while setter Drew Mehigan finished with 12 assists.

Mundelein d. Waukegan: The Mustangs used a balanced offensive attack to sweep Waukegan 25-16, 25-22. Luke Ramer had 5 kills, Anthony Fiore added 4 kills and Sam Nelson finished with 3 kills. Ramer had a team-high 3 blocks while setter David Everding rolled up 11 assists.
