NCH hosts first Mammogram Screening Party

Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH) is making it easier for women to receive their first mammograms by hosting a party that will celebrate the milestone and provide the support that women often need when being screened for breast cancer for the first time.

NCH's "Party for Your Pair" event is scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, at the NCH Breast Center, 880 W. Central Road, Arlington Heights. During the party, NCH's friendly and all-female staff will make sure you're comfortable every step of the way during the mammogram screening. Radiologists on staff will provide results the same night. Attendees will also receive a free gift.

Not knowing what to expect from your first mammogram can be scary, making it easy to put off. At Party for Your Pair, NCH is making it simple and convenient for you to get screened for breast cancer.

The NCH Breast Center is one of the top three providers of mammograms in Illinois and is designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology. With mammography locations in Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove and Schaumburg, and flexible, one-call scheduling, patients benefit from short wait times for appointments, digital mammography and our trademarked Results by Request program. With Results by Request, our patients can choose to have a one-hour appointment and receive results on the same day.

The Breast Center provides screenings for women every day with advanced technology for mammography and other diagnostic imaging technology that detect even the earliest signs of breast cancer. Doctors recommend that women over 40 get a mammogram every year.

To be eligible for Party for Your Pair, this must be your first mammogram and you need to have seen your doctor within the last two years. Your insurance will be billed. Registration is required by calling HealthConnection at (847) 618-4YOU (4968).
