Hoffman Estates, Schaumburg reach deal on subdivision

Hoffman Estates trustees this week approved the use of their village's right-of-way on Thacker Street for the placement of utilities serving a new 7-home Schaumburg subdivision.

The subdivision, to be called Shannon Estates, will be located between Pleasant Street and Roselle Road near the Schaumburg Golf Club.

A similar agreement was reached in 2003 for the construction of five Schaumburg homes just west of the new development. But as signed copies of that 2003 agreement could not be found by either village, the new agreement also includes and restates the earlier deal.
