Women's Networking Group Presents Appy Hour Fundraiser

The Women in Business Advisory Forum (WIBAF), a networking group of the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce, presents Appy Hour on Tuesday, March 18 from 5pm to 7pm at d'Vine Wine & Gifts, 742 Dundee Road, Palatine, IL 60074.

The Appy Hour event will include appetizers and popcorn donated by Signature Sweets, desserts donated by Costco Wholesale, free door prize entry, raffles, networking opportunities, wine tasting, and app sharing. Wine tasting will be provided by the knowledgeable staff at d'Vine Wine & Gifts. Participants are also invited to join the Appy Hour portion of the evening to share their favorite mobile apps. A large selection of raffle prizes will be available thanks to the generosity of many Chamber members and local businesses.

Tickets for this event are just $20 per person and proceeds will benefit the new WIBAF Scholarship Program. The scholarship process is still under review, and the group plans to award at least one scholarship to a high school senior this spring. Applications will be available at the end of March on the Palatine Chamber website, www.palatinechamber.com.

WIBAF is an active group of business women who are interested in learning and networking with one another while discussing business related topics. Monthly meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Meetings include featured member presentations and organized presentations of business topics, along with time for networking with other members in attendance. In addition, members also have an opportunity to periodically profile their business in a 10-15 minute presentation. Non-chamber members are invited to join the group as guests for up to two visits. The fee to attend each WIBAF luncheon networking meeting is $12 per person. Pre-registration is required and can be completed online each month at www.palatinechamber.com. Please contact one of the group's co-chairs, Joan Scovic at 847-496-6287 or Julie Selof at 847-991-1112, ext. 234, for more information.
