Town hall on underage drinking scheduled

A town-hall meeting is scheduled in Park Ridge to address underage drinking and drug use, organizers said.

State Rep. Marty Moylan and the Maine Community Youth Assistance Foundation are hosting the town hall on Thursday, March 13 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the South Park Rec Center, 833 Talcott Ave. in Park Ridge.

The event will include speakers, including Maine Township students and police, and an interactive presentation on "myths v. facts" on the effects of alcohol and drugs on the teenage brain, according to a news release.
