Bears sign free-agent cornerback Purdy

The Bears signed free-agent cornerback Derricus Purdy Wednesday.

As a senior at Texas Southern in 2012, the 6-foot, 190-pound Purdy had 1 interception and 4 pass breakups to go along with his 34 tackles. He was not selected in the 2013 draft.
