Why the furor after 30 years?

The Jan. 24 cartoon was the most vulgar and insulting I have ever seen. If this had been concerning Muslims or other denominations, you'd have a riot. Yes there have been instances of abuse in the Catholic Church, but now all the publicity after 20 or 30 years?

What about teachers, doctors, lawyers or judges or politicians? One small paragraph on Page 6. The Catholics get front page with pictures and parishes.

When people smell money they come out of the woodwork - now there will be more. How can a priest or cardinal defend himself from the grave?
