The village of Mount Prospect is seeking all entrepreneurs - those that are thinking of starting a business and those that are looking for ways to grow and expand their existing businesses.

The village is teaming up with the Mount Prospect Chamber of Commerce, Small Business Development Center, Mount Prospect Downtown Merchants Association and the Mount Prospect Public Library to help new businesses get established in Mount Prospect by providing a package of innovative economic development resources.

Tools to help ensure business success in Mount Prospect - education, mentoring, marketing opportunities and contact with successful existing business owners - will be available through the Entrepreneur's Café program.

The next Entrepreneur's Café will be held 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27, at the EOC Meeting Room at the Public Works building, 1700 W. Central Ave, Mount Prospect. This event welcomes a representative from SCORE Chicago, and will feature a presentation on cash management for small businesses.

The first Entrepreneur's Café was held in 2012; events are typically held on a quarterly basis.

"The goal is to cater our programming to address the challenges that entrepreneur's face. We want to connect them with the resources that are available to help them succeed," said Nellie Beckner, Long Range Planner for Mount Prospect. "As long as there is interest from the community, we will continue to offer a variety of events that help people take the first step toward opening their own business."
