Fund set up for homeless Mount Prospect fire victim

The sister of a victim of last weekend's fire in downtown Mount Prospect has set up a fund on his behalf. David Summy and his dog, Smokey, were displaced from their second-floor apartment after fire spread from the Sakura Japanese restaurant below at 105 S. Main St. Summy's sister, Kimberly Heuschmidt, set up "Dave and Smokey's Recovery Fund" at youcaring.com to help pay for food and living expenses. Summy has been staying at a motel since Sunday, but says he hopes to move to a new apartment soon.
