McNulty to lead Warren football program

Warren has named Bryan McNulty its new head football coach, athletic director Mark Pos confirmed Tuesday night.

McNulty replaces Dave Mohapp, who stepped down in December after 17 seasons.

McNulty is a former all-state linebacker at Naperville Central High School who spent the past two years as defensive backs coach at Lake Forest College. Prior to that, he served as an assistant on Mohapp's staff, serving as the head sophomore coach and working with the defense for both the varsity and sophomore teams.

McNulty was named the head softball coach last July and has been involved in the softball program since 2007. He had a successful college career at both the College of DuPage and Northern Michigan University.

"I am confident he will do an outstanding job as our new head coach," Pos said. "Bryan has strong knowledge of the sport and works well with student athletes. Bryan becomes only the fourth head football coach hired in the past 43 years here at Warren, and I look forward to working with him to keep this program strong."
